What’s the difference between the HiSET and GED?
A lot of students ask what the difference is between the HiSET and GED. The HiSET is now the official High School Equivalency test offered here in Maine. The HiSET exam replaced the GED in the state of Maine. The difference in my opinion is that the HiSET holds students to a higher standard than the GED test. Below is an article that outlines the differences between the two Test!
HiSET Gaining in Popularity vs. The GED
I want to go to college but I am finishing up my HiSET, can I still participate in the college transition program?
The short answer is, YES! Many of our students have a goal of continuing their education and moving on to college. We encourage students that know they want to go to college to also enroll in our college transitions programing. Students that enroll in both can make a seamless transition from our HiSET program to our college transitions program.
